Sometimes. Some catering partners take a same-day order when the kitchen has room, and a small order is easier to fit in than a large one. About one in ten one-off Zerocater orders is placed within a day of the meal. Order as early in the day as you can, and pick food that needs no cook time.
Food that a kitchen assembles rather than cooks to order: sandwich and wrap platters, salads, boxed meals, pizza and tacos. Most catering partners offer individual boxed meals, and many also offer buffet trays.
