Where to start an AAPI Heritage Month order: nine kitchens, and a guide for each one
AAPI Heritage Month runs all of May, under the widest umbrella on the calendar: East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Pacific. A pan-Asian tray of orange chicken and pad thai does not cover that.
These kitchens already have full ordering guides. Start with the one your office has never tried:
- Chinese: shared dishes, counted against the headcount
- Japanese: sushi piece counts and the delivery clock
- Korean: bibimbap bars, and how much banchan
- Thai: setting heat, and the fish sauce question
- Vietnamese: banh mi that survive the box
- Taiwanese: gua bao and a night market spread
- Indian: the deepest vegetarian bench here
- Hawaiian: the plate lunch, built for delivery
- Filipino: lumpia, pancit, adobo, and how to order them
