Buffet or boxed for 50 people: decide on the minutes you have
At 50 people the buffet-or-boxed answer comes from the clock. One buffet line serves the room in about 15 minutes, and boxed meals hand out at once. If lunch has 45 minutes and conversation is the goal, 15 minutes of line is part of the event. If the break is an hour and the afternoon starts on time, the line takes a quarter of it.
The room votes too. A buffet for 50 needs a long table with space to walk both sides and a path that does not cross the door. Without that floor space, boxes win by default. The grid above shows catering partners with buffet or build-your-own bar menus.
