We’re excited to announce some big news here at Zerocater! We’ve raised $15 million in Series C funding, led by Cleveland Avenue LLC and Remus Capital. This raise will allow us to expand our technology-enabled corporate cafeteria and catering solutions to 10 new markets, including our first international market in Canada.
With the shift to hybrid work and the unpredictable nature of in-office attendance, companies are wasting millions of dollars on traditional cafeterias, while employees that come to the office are left with a poor meal experience. Employees would rather work from home when the only option available to them is an old-school cafeteria that offers underwhelming menu options that they don’t want to eat. That’s where we come in.
Our Cloud Cafe, Hybrid Cafe, and Managed Cafe products offer a world-class buffet-style or boxed meal experience customized to employees’ unique tastes while saving companies millions as they only pay for the team members who come into the office. With over 450 enterprise-quality commissary kitchens, caterers, and restaurants on our platform, we offer employees over 10 daily cuisines with 70 daily menu items, all personalized based on employee preferences using our AI and machine learning technology. Our cafeteria and catering operations teams own every meal program detail from onsite staffing to decor and equipment ensuring the meal experience is flawless whether a company has 35 employees or 5,000+.
This Series C funding will allow us to continue our mission of revolutionizing the corporate cafeteria and catering industry. We’re already the leader in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City, serving customers like Datadog, Splunk, Robinhood, and others. With this raise, we’re excited to bring our solutions to even more companies, helping them save millions while providing their employees with personalized and diverse food options. We’ll be growing our presence in Los Angeles, Boston, Austin, Denver, Seattle, and Washington D.C. with additional markets in the U.S. and Canada coming online every month.
“The pandemic and the shift to hybrid work completely broke how companies feed their teams. The opportunity for Zerocater to transform the $182B corporate cafeteria and catering market is immense,” says Keith Kravcik, CIO of Cleveland Avenue.
“With our Series C raise, we’re excited to bring our solutions to even more companies, solving the problems traditional cafeteria and catering providers can’t.”, says Ali Sabeti, CEO of Zerocater.
At Zerocater, we’re actively working towards becoming the national provider for major global companies. With this round of funding, we’re one step closer to achieving that goal and revolutionizing the corporate catering industry once and for all.
