Tell us about Tac N Roll!
I wanted to bring flavors that I love from all the countries I’ve traveled to and serve it in an easily relatable way with my own spin.
What was the very first menu item?
Tikka Tikka Chicken Paratha (India Inspired) was the very first menu item and it has become our signature dish. I love the aromatic herbs, spices, and flavors of India all encased in a soft and crispy paratha shell
What is one thing not many know about Tac N Roll?
We serve flavors from many different countries such as the Dominican Republic, India, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam. We even have daily specials from a featured country. Also, that we have great side dishes such as finger-lickin’ wings, sweet and savory Cajun flavored wings infused with fresh mango, pineapple and passion fruit
What’s your favorite thing about feeding companies?
That we get to share our taste experiences with many people at a time through an international palette of flavors.
What do you like most about partnering with Zerocater?
In addition to the opportunity to feed a big variety of clients ranging from technology companies to start-ups to design companies, I like to be able to work with such a professional and supportive team.
We believe food is integral in community building. Tell us about a time where Tac N Roll brought people together or helped to foster community.
We sponsor multiple charity events in our community such as Food Network’s NYCWFF which proceeds benefits Food Bank for New York City and No Kid Hungry, as well as Fab NYC supporting local artists, and the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) which donates to Veterans, we’ve also done things with Toys for Tots and the Leukemia Society.
What is your biggest challenge as a restaurateur or chef?
Having to manage all aspects of operations for the business at the same time, for instance creating an inspiring menu while calculating and understanding food costs.
What piece of advice would you offer to someone starting out in the food industry?
Stay passionate about food and share the love of all the experiences that come along with it.
Where do you see Tac N Roll in the future?
I hope to be able to expand and grow my business to serve many more people so that I’m able to share flavors of other counties with many that don’t get an opportunity to travel as much as we all would like to.
