Back in December of 2014, we held our first Vendor Appreciation Party at our HQ in San Francisco. It was a giant success so we were very eager to be able to celebrate our vendors here in the Big Apple. This past Wednesday, it finally became a reality when we had our New York Vendor Appreciation Party!
We asked one of our popular vendors, Agozar Cuban Bistro, to provide the food for the evening and they did not disappoint. Guests enjoyed mariquitas (plantain chips), guacamole, chicken empanaditas, and croquetas de hongo (wild mushroom croquettes).
Then we all got our sweet fix with red velvet cake from another Zerocater favorite, Mini Melanie.
While our vendors got to mingle with each other and members of our team, we were also able to give them a sneak peek at our brand new office space, located in NoMad. The decision to move out of our previous WeWork space in the Financial District was made in order to accommodate our rapidly growing team and to be more easily accessible to our vendors and clients.
We were also able to recognize some of our best-performing vendors in front of their peers. Dos Toros Taqueria came away with the honor of being the Zerocater #1 Top-Rated Vendor, followed closely by other top-rated vendors Souvlaki GR, Nova Catering, 53rd and 6th Halal Cart and Hummus Kitchen.
As for timeliness, Nova Catering doubled its award earnings and the #1 Most On-Time Vendor, followed by another double-winner in Gather, Xe May Sandwich Shop, 251 Ginza Sushi, Zerza, and Rasa.
It was great to finally put faces to the people whose delicious food we enjoy every day and are so critical to the success of our product.
We truly could not do this without our vendor partners—so thank you all!
