Ask any D.C. resident, and nine times out of 10 they’ll tell you they’re a workaholic.
We work long hours, we bring hotspots on the Metro, we type e-mails while walking through mobs of tourists. We also need to knock that shizz out.
No matter how long we feel compelled to stay chained to our desk, we eventually have to stand up and move around. Most of us work in a standard office environment (if you’re lucky enough to have access to a walking and/or standing desk, you best be using it) so hitting the gym is a daily necessity. After all, we are the healthiest city in the U.S. (holla!) and have a reputation to uphold.
If you’re someone who laughs when they hear the phrase, “40-hour workweek” and are struggling to find time at the gym, the midday workout may work perfectly with your routine. Whether you want to pump some iron and flow into a downward dog, here’s where you can find a noon workout around the city. When you get back to the office and are ready to refuel, you know who to call (hint hint).
Mint
You can get your Namaste on throughout the week at the Downtown location, with various yoga classed offered every day at noon. At Dupont, yoga is offered Thursday, and Friday; with Pilates held Monday and Wednesday.
CrossFit
Do you WOD? If so, District CrossFit and CrossFit DC both offer group classes each day at noon. CrossFit DC also has an open gym slot from 1 – 2 p.m.
WSC (all locations)
No matter if you work in Georgetown, Downtown, or Dupont, you should be able to find a class midday. Pilates, kickboxing, yoga, spin, and circuit training classes are held eat day between 11 and 1.
Vida Fitness

Most locations host two different classes, with the Verizon Center location holding three classes. [The Renaissance Center Hotel location offers small group training in lieu of classes.]
Yoga District
Glover Park, I St., H St., and Bloomingdale locations hold noon classes. No matter what your level, you’ll be able to find power, flow, Ashtanga, and even yogalates offered throughout the week.
