Close your eyes. Imagine sitting on the warm, slightly humid beaches of the Mediterranean. With a colorful cocktail, you’re watching the sun go down while eating freshly baked pita and delicious, creamy hummus. It doesn’t get much better than this—but you do get close at La Méditerranée in San Francisco.
With several locations sprinkled in the city, Zerocater has partnered with La Med (fan-favorite nickname) to bring light tapas and lunch to companies around the area. Lauded for their vast offerings, each meal from La Med is a taste of the Mediterranean located right in SF.
Opened in 1979 by a father and son duo, La Med has been serving up Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare for nearly 40 years. Each dish is made fresh daily, inspired by the Armenian and Lebanese influences of the Der Bedrosian family.
Favorites range from the spanikopita or falafel to start, paired with shwarma plates or the chicken pomegranate. Whatever you have, the food will surely surprise and delight your taste buds, while taking you to the beaches of the Med.
It’s nearly impossible to pass on the pita and hummus when you walk in, so if you visit, sit back, relax, and have a crisp glass of white wine in toast to one of Zerocater’s favorite vendors.
