Welcome to Zerocater’s Culture Club where we’ll introduce you to the standout stars working behind the scenes to make sure our customers have delicious office meals and snacks, each and every time.
Ryan has been anything but your typical sales team member since day one. Yeah, he hits goal consistently like you’d want your sales team to do. But it’s the things he does outside of work that makes you realize he works hard at the office so he can collect experiences. From solo Costa Rican Yoga Festival trips to pack rafting down the San Juan River in Utah, he’s anything but your typical sales team member.

In your own words, what does Zerocater do?
We serve up the highest quality in-office meals across the US.
Tell us about your role on the team, and how it’s grown since you started.
I have led Zerocater’s sales efforts in the Peninsula and South-Bay since my start here over 2 years ago. Expanding our presence in the “heart” of Silicon Valley.
What were you doing before, and why did you decide to join Zerocater?
I was living in Santa Barbara, California before deciding to mosey on back up to the Bay Area. There, I worked for a small electronic signature startup leading their sales efforts. The company was acquired by Citrix in my second year. Citrix did not offer the same startup atmosphere and culture that I had been accustomed too and thrived on- which led me to find Zerocater and accept a position in SF.
What is the hardest part about your role at Zerocater?
The after lunch food coma.
What is the best part about your role at Zerocater?
The flexibility! I would consider this to be a heavily client-facing role. Having the ability to connect with your clients in person is something management at Zerocater encourages. A perfect mix of inside and outside sales with the ability to create your own schedule.
At this moment, what are you most excited about at Zerocater?
The vision. The process.
How do you start your day?
Yoga, deep breathing work and then a mean cup of joe!
Favorite Quote?
“We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once”
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I travel often. Spontaneous trips fuel my soul. Backpacking, packrafting, yoga, baseball. My recent excursion was a 90-mile packrafting trip through the Grand Canyon and Utah for memorial day weekend.
Last question, what is your favorite meal you’ve had at Zerocater?
Hot damn that’s a tough question! I love almost every meal but I would have to say Havana’s Cuban bowls hit the spot every time.
