I know you’re thinking—”what the heck is an FTFO?”—welp, it’s the Food Truck Face Off and it happened yesterday at Chicago Tech Week.
Cars.com and Zerocater co-sponsored the challenge at the Merchandise Mart in River North. In a beautiful marriage of food and tech, Zerocater’s top Chi-town vendors came to throw down to win the first-ever Golden Burger. The battle was eventually drowned out by the rain, but Zerocater’s very own Naansense reigned supreme.
Naansense, a local Indian eatery, got its start after the head chefs “quit their day jobs,” and followed their passions into the kitchen. They focus on keeping it real, using tandoori clay ovens—a technique that dates back to the 14th century—to pump out their famous Signature Bread daily.
From Naanwiches to bowls, your taste buds will be delighted with the spices of the Far East when you’re sitting on the east shore of the lake. Check ’em out at 171 Wells, or follow them on Twitter to keep up with the truck.
