It might be hard to focus this week, but the reward will only be sweeter once you do because it’s almost the Fourth of July weekend, y’all!

The Clift Hotel, San Francisco
The Clift celebrated its century mark this month, and they prove age really ain’t nothin’ but a number. They recently started featuring a “Decompression Hour,” featuring a delightful snack menu that includes mini-bacon-wrapped hot dogs (you had us at bacon-wrapped), and blistered shishito peppers with yuzu kosho salt. Hit up the Redwood Room for happy hour Sunday-Thursday from 5-8p.m., which features a special 100-year cocktail menu curated by some of San Francisco’s best bartenders.
Brooklyn Grange, New York City
The rooftop farm of Brooklyn Grange doesn’t just offer a killer view of the East River’s fireworks, they will literally be exploding right over your head. On the food and drink front, they’ll be offering up American classics like 12-hour smoked pulled pork, and fried chicken and beer from Brooklyn Brewery to keep you hydrated well into the night. And if that’s not up your alley, there’s always the Nathan’s Annual Hotdog Eating Contest.
360 Chicago, Chicago
If you’re looking to get away from the crowd at the Navy Pier, but still want a great view of the fireworks, look no further than 360 Chicago. For a price tag just shy of $20, you can post up with your significant other for the city’s most romantic views. If you and your buds are more of the beer and baseball type, the Cubs will also have fireworks for their 4th of July game.
El Centro, Washington, D.C.
You know from our previous blog post that D.C. does not mess around when it comes to their brunch game. With most people having off on July 3rd, Mexican comfort food spot El Centro will be offering their bottomless brunch (normally limited to Saturday and Sunday) from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M on Friday.
