“Tierra is consistently the first one to step up & offer help to all of her teammates no matter what she has on her plate. She recently moved over to the FCA On Demand team and has been juggling maintaining the Clients that she is still managing while performing at 100% in her new role. She manages to see the positive in every situation that she encounters, and is absolutely a little ray of sunshine for everyone in our office. We’re lucky to have her!” – Jo Niles, Food Curation Manager

Tell us about your current role and what you do?
I’m a Food Curation Analyst for the On Demand Team! I curate meals for our On Demand clients, based on their preferences and past meal history. It’s a great way of using my knowledge of food and cuisine styles to make other teams happy!
What is the best part of your role at Zerocater?
Typically with our On Demand clients, they’ve only used us a few times before so it’s great to be the face of the company for them and provide an outstanding experience each time. It’s also amazing to hear when the teams I’ve fed provide awesome feedback! Definitely motivates me to keep providing that great service!
How you’ve grown in your career since joining Zerocater?
I’ve become more confident in my career track since starting. Management does an awesome job in helping line a path for your career and providing support along the way. I now have a much clearer idea of where I want to be in a few years with the company.
What is your motto or personal mantra when it comes to your career?
“Stay Learning!” I love to test my limits when it comes to my career and I love to learn more. I love receiving feedback on my performance as well as focusing on what I can improve on. Life (and work) can be full of learning opportunities to take advantage of!
Why did you decide to join Zerocater?
I was actually referred here by a good friend of mine who spoke highly of the company and employees. The culture was a BIG part of my decision to join the team! It also helped that we’re a dog-friendly office!
What has been your most memorable moment with a customer, vendor, or candidate at Zerocater?
I love being able to “be a person” and really connect with our clients. A few weeks ago while transitioning out of my old CSA role, I emailed one of my favorite clients introducing his new CSC & FCA team and he responded with his best wishes in my new role and a YouTube link to “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” by Boyz ll Men. I felt honored to have worked with his company for so long and to have made such an impact on him and his office. I keep a copy of that email handy for when I need a pick-me-up
What is your proudest accomplishment at Zerocater and Why?
Being able to make groups of people happy over food! I’m very passionate about food in my personal life, so being able to share the love for food while working has to be the greatest accomplishment yet!
What advice would you give to someone hoping to join the Zerocater team?
Every department in our team is filled with positive, hardworking people! Don’t hesitate, just apply! You won’t regret visiting our dog-friendly offices. Working here and being surrounded by such supporting coworkers truly makes your heart warm!
What’s the best way to start your workday?
Coffee and Smiles!
Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself?*
- I have never owned an umbrella
- I am scared of balloons
- I was named the tallest person of my high school graduating class
What does an ideal Sunday look like for you?
Sundays are normally spent at home with my husband and my 2 dog-children! The dogs especially love Sundays because they get a few extra hours of walks.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
Currently, swimming with sharks is at the top! (First I’d have to learn how to swim haha)
Last question, what is your favorite meal you’ve had at Zerocater?
Lucille’s Catering! Something about the Chicken Alfredo Biscuit Bake makes my head twirl.
