Tell us about your current role and what you do?
I sell Zerocater’s suite of services and explain how Zerocater can customize a company’s food ordering process for their office, helping them get what they need and want for their company! Our job is to ultimately make their job easier and to help their company be more successful by having happy people with full tummies. 🙂 Sky is the limit right now in Austin, and I am happy and excited to be a part of it!
What is the best part about your role at Zerocater?
The management right now has been the best part. My manager, as well as others, have reached out and really given me the opportunity to do what I need to do, while also teaching me new ways to sell and learn more about myself and how far I can push.
How you’ve grown in your career since joining Zerocater?
My confidence and my skill set in selling have grown. I have been in the catering business for years, but have only sold meals at an actual restaurant level. This was something new for me and pushed me to think differently, learn differently and sell differently. So far it has been a great and positive experience for me, personally and professionally.
What is your motto or personal mantra when it comes to your career?
Clear eyes, Full hearts, CAN’T LOSE.
Why did you decide to join Zerocater?
I have been in the catering business for a long time and wanted to try something new and get a different perspective of catering. Zerocater was an opportunity for me to do things from the other side of catering and develop new skill sets in sales and marketing. After many interviews, and talking to many people across the board, I realized this was a great fit for my personality and that I could thrive here, personally and professionally.
What is your proudest accomplishment at Zerocater and Why?
My first signed contract, which happened to today! For me, when I got that, I truly felt, “I’ve got this!” You can have so much pipeline and start a new job with great ambitions, but until that first contract came through, it was that extra motivation I needed to make it “real”.
What advice would you give to someone hoping to join the Zerocater team?
Have confidence in what you can bring to the team. We are a team, and everyone wins when one does. Work hard for what you want.
What’s the best way to start your workday?
Starbucks Venti, Iced Chai Tea Latte, and The Bobby Bones show while driving to work 🙂
Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself?*
- I am a local politician
- I have been to South Africa
- I love coffee
What does an ideal Sunday look like for you?
My kids. Doing everything with my kids, and relaxing with my husband. 🙂
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
Top 3 are all even: Alaska, Europe, and travel down the East Coast from Maine to Hilton Head.
Last question, what is your favorite meal you’ve had at Zerocater?
Our Holiday Party meal of lasagna, breadsticks, salad and chocolate chip cookies. I love pasta. Give me all the carbs that I know I don’t need. 🙂
