What did you do prior to joining Zerocater and how did you end up at Zerocater?
Before joining ZC, I was taking some time off from my last role to decompress and find something I knew I was going to be super passionate about. The commitment I made was to picture myself 12-24 months into the role and company and visualize if I felt the same excitement and energy as I did on my first day. Enter ZC. From day one it was pure excitement and rapid growth. Two years later, I still feel amped and excited to come to work and grow the team in numbers and skillsets.
What is unique or motivating about your work at Zerocater?
Working within the sales team and managing the sales personnel isn’t necessarily unique, but it’s super exciting. When people come here as their next career move and you get to develop them into better professionals, it’s a great experience and the biggest reason why I love what I do so much.
Can you share a particular project or highlight since joining Zerocater that you are most proud of?
Working to implement tools that drive sales up and motivate the team are among my favorite projects to work on. It’s like that shiny new toy that you get and everyone wants to give it a spin. And the satisfaction of knowing that it brought quantifiable, positive results is something to be proud of. Ambition is a tool that I like to describe as the “ESPN scores and updates screen for sales teams.” It really helps us highlight each win and keep the salespeople accountable to metrics we hold as important. We also recently implemented an email optimization tool (it does way more than that) called MixMax. It’s one of the best email tools I’ve seen and it became extremely obvious to the team that they all needed to use it to make their jobs easier.
Which Zerocater value resonates most with your team?
Be Customer Obsessed – Sales is all about relating to your clients on a hyper-focused level and understanding them to the fullest. The most successful companies focus heavily on this – without our customers, we don’t have a business.
If there was one word or phrase that describes your company culture what would it be and why?
Driven – everyone here comes in with a purpose, we don’t stop when we’ve reached our goal – we keep going. It permeates beyond our sales team into all the different departments and keeps me driven.
What is your favorite thing about working at Zerocater?
The people here are the reason I come to work every day. When I know I’m surrounded by like-minded people that are just as driven as, if not more driven than, I am – it fuels me to keep going.
What is your favorite cooking show?
Doesn’t matter which specific show – as long as it involves baking.
Often times salespeople have competitive hobbies. What are your hobbies outside of work?
Spearfishing and freediving are huge passions of mine. I compete from time to time but being surrounded by marine wildlife underwater is the escape and peace that keeps everything in balance.
