Monday is the perfect time to start your week on a positive note, especially after a long weekend filled with of 4th of July celebrations, tasty BBQs, fireworks, and fun in the sun.
Those burgers and Blue Moons from the holiday don’t count today, so look at Monday as a fresh start to get motivated. To combat the back-to-work lethargy, we’ve compiled a few tips to get your week started right.
First, take advantage of the fruit in season and blend it up into a fresh fruit smoothie. Pick your desired fruit medley, spinach, almond milk, and some ice cubes and blend away! Summer smoothies are a perfect way to cool down and get energized at the office, and if you need to sweeten your drink up a bit, squeeze in some agave nectar.
To push through your busy schedule, prioritize at least one ‘Sanity Break.’ This might sound shocking to some of you—or a waste of time—but your productivity will increase after you’ve had a moment to decompress. Easy options for this might be taking a stroll outside, perusing your favorite social sites, catching up with a friend, or even sneaking in a few minutes to do a desk workout.
Finally, in order to be as efficient as possible, make sure to build out your weekly calendar on Friday so you start your Monday out with a bang. After being out for the weekend, new projects arise and your original task list becomes bogged down with new priorities. Set yourself up for success by blocking off your Friday afternoons with some calendar organization for the new week.
