It’s that time of the year again, where it’s socially acceptable to break out those practical jokes and hoaxes you have been waiting to expel since last April Fool’s Day. Whether it’s your CEO who will be sacrificed as the comedic office target or you, today will surely be a day to capture the absurd hilarity that will most likely ensue.
If you happen to live in the Bay Area, you can take April Fool’s Day one step further by utilizing a new and free method for pranking. Sweetness, a local gift delivery startup, is helping to delve out some mischievous tricks this year for San Franciscans and the ploy is just too good to be true.
For a limited time, you can personalize a prank and have it hand-delivered to your friends or family members with the addition of a free cookie-gram. This is what I call winning.
As luck would have it, the recipient I am choosing to prank is my fiancée, Andy. Today at some point a delivery person is going to give Andy his cookie-gram along with a complimentary video greeting I previously recorded to help fabricate the spoof. Depending on what prank you choose, Sweetness has some tricks up their sleeves on how they will deliver it to your recipient. In Andy’s case, he will be gifted with an erroneous ‘Seven Night Hawaiian Getaway!’ Thinking about this already makes me chuckle, and I can’t wait to hear how many others in the Bay Area are giving this a try.
If you are just reading this now, you can still be a part of the fun. Deliveries run until April 2nd—I would highly encourage you to give it a try, if nothing else, do it for the free cookie-gram. Here’s to adding some laughter and sweetness into your day.
