Zerocater attended HustleCon on Friday, April 24th … and it was a huge hit! What is HustleCon you ask? Here’s the scope:
HustleCon is an annual event in the Bay Area that provides an environment for startups and companies to come together, much like a Ted Talk, to share advice on startup tactics specifically for the non-tech savvy entrepreneur/ businessperson. This year, the second annual event was hosted at the Jewish Community Center in San Francisco and a whopping 500 guests attended, including the Zerocater CEO Arram Sabeti.
From discussing the highs and lows of business, best practices for funding, and founder’s stories, a 15 guest panelist presented at the event to talk about the rollercoaster process of creating a company. To name a few, the co-founder of Pandora, Tim Westergren presented, along with iCracked, Nerd Wallet, and yours truly: Zerocater!
Zerocater fed the entire event for lunch before we took the stage. We made sure to cater some of our favorite vendors such as Curry Up Now, AK Subs, Americano, The Little Chihauhaha, Kasa, and Breaking Bread. The hungry swarm of attendees were more than pleased, they were utterly satisfied.
Enough tooting our own horn: back to the Zerocater story that Arram shared with the audience. He illustrated the process of how Zerocater came to be, and what it took for a single, non-technical founder to create a successful catering company that grew to what it is today. The story is moving and humbling, but also hilarious as Arram moved the crowd to laughter discussing his pain points and lessons. The tactics discussed by many of the founders are business-minded, but there were also great life lessons.
