While you’re still digesting those Thanksgiving leftovers, we’re already thinking about the next holiday.
There’s much to be celebrated in December: Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, the fact that New Years Day falls on a Friday this year… However your employees celebrate the holiday, there’s an unlimited number of ways to get the whole office involved. Since everything we do involves food, here are a few foodie-friendly ways to celebrate the holiday season.
- It’s a holly jolly happy hour
HR probably won’t let you curl up in a blanket and drink hot cocoa, but you may get away with serving pigs in a blanket and mini meatballs. Serve up holiday appetizers and celebrate your hard work in 2015.
- If Santa can go around the world in one night, why can’t you tour the globe in one meal?
We’ve seen clients celebrate with latkes, sushi, or even lamb kabobs over the holiday season. There’s no need to stick to the typical sit-down family dinner in December—especially when your work family may come from every corner of the world.
- A holiday cookie-exchange
Who’s the best baker at your company? Have each employee bake a dozen cookies, and then send each person home with a mixed bag of holiday treats. Or, have Zerocater bring the cookies to you, and have a cookie decorating fest at the office.
- “And he, the Grinch himself, carved the roast-beast.”
If you prefer a sit-down family meal, bring in the roast beef and fixings for a holiday dinner. We served many Thanksgiving dinners last week, and can bring back the mashed potatoes and green beans for a holiday feast.
- We don’t like coal in our stockings, but we’ll take our drinks on the rocks.
Find out who’s the master mixologist by throwing a holiday-themed happy hour for your employees. Have each employee create his/her own winter wonderland beverage, and give a prize for the best frosty or drink on the rocks.
