In your own words, what does Zerocater do?
Zerocater facilitates happiness through food! We take the stress and guesswork out of feeding a group so our clients can spend time focused on taking care of their teams.
Tell us about your role on the team, and how it’s grown since you started.
I’m very fortunate to lead a team of problem solvers to be the voice of Zerocater during meal delivery. As the only Support Team, we handle everything from breakfast in NY to dinners in CA and everything in between!
The growth of my role is aligned with our company’s growth. I’ve empowered the team width-wise by creating smarter workflows and processes, and height-wise by leveraging the resources we have to tackle more meals, calls, and emails with very little headcount change. My team is ALWAYS in beast mode!
What were you doing before, and why did you decide to join Zerocater?
I’ve been a customer service leader through training and people management throughout my career. My most recent role was in the fashion world, and I learned a lot about how to have a “yes” culture and focus on building trust with your clients. I was drawn to Zerocater because I love food, and I was excited to bring the focus of trust and proactive problem solving for clients. I’m inspired by the future focus and company values like “Create Delight” and “Talk to Customers”!
What is the hardest part about your role at Zerocater?
Saying no to seconds and thirds of our delicious food! Okay, seriously – the hardest part of my role is being mindful of our different client needs regionally and by size. Balancing a consistent experience and curated solutions is a really fun challenge to tackle!
What is the best part about your role at Zerocater?
My team – hands down! I have the hardest working, most creative, caring team. It’s a pleasure to come to work every day and be a part of their growth and development. They also have some pretty adorable dogs.
What are the opportunities for growth at Zerocater?
I feel they’re as endless as your imagination! One of my favorite activities is understanding my team’s interests and planning how they’ll grow into a role that uses their talents. You can learn so much from where we sit – talking with vendors, clients, different offices – it’s a great vantage point to plan the next steps.
At this moment, what are you most excited about at Zerocater?
At this moment I’m excited to see an expansion in Austin! It’s no secret that this area is growing like crazy. I can’t wait to see Zerocater everywhere and show off our amazing food. Brisket and breakfast tacos EVERYWHERE!
How do you start your day?
I start my day by walking my dogs and listening to a podcast or book. It’s a great way to engage my mind and body and look forward to what’s ahead.
Tell us two lies and one truth about yourself?
- I love to drink coffee all day and will chat you up about cold brew or french press.
- I love to make hula hoops and get people excited about hooping!
- I love to make my own clothes and mix funky patterns!
If there was a movie made about your life what would the movie title be and who would you want to play you?
“Never Met a Stranger” with Tina Fey as me (and Paul Rudd as my hubs)
Last question, what is your favorite meal you’ve had at Zerocater?
The hardest question of all!!! Oh man… I’ll go with. I’m a suburban kid at heart, so eating sushi for lunch still feels decadent.
