What did you do prior to joining Zerocater and how did you end up at Zerocater?
I spent the first 11 years of my career working for a large tech company specializing in HW/SW datacenter sales, and a Cloud/SAAS video conferencing provider. I have a passion for merging data and tech solutions that help customers run more efficiently and make money. Outside of work I love everything having to do with food. Cooking, eating, grilling, smoking meats, hosting dinner parties, etc. Zerocater is the perfect balance between these two passions. We help companies build a better culture through food, and leverage customer’s information to help them make data-backed decisions to feed, recruit, and retain talent.
What is unique or motivating about your work at Zerocater?
People have different preferences to food, allergies, religious beliefs that dictate dietary restrictions, but everyone eats. Customers want to learn how we can help them build a better culture, create stronger cross-functional partnerships within their company, all while recruiting and retaining the best talent in the world. We help with all of that, and customers want to hear what we have to say. Selling something tangible that will (hopefully) have a positive impact on every person in the company gets me excited to come into work every day.
Can you share a particular project or highlight since joining Zerocater that you are most proud of?
Large scale enterprise sales is a passion of mine. Helping to build out the strategy, platform and solution we can, and do, offer to enterprise customers has been a lot of fun and a great learning experience.
Which Zerocater value resonates most with your team?
Never Give Up. It’s only failure if you don’t learn from your mistakes. Having resiliency and grit are very important to me as a sales professional and leader.
If there was one word or phrase that describes your company culture what would it be and why?
Team. We are providing a service for our customers, and to make their experience the best it possibly can be all cross-functional team members need to work together to ensure success. Each customer has its own set of needs, wants, and challenges. Once we know what those are, Zerocater comes together as a team to make our customer’s dream a reality.
What is your favorite thing about working at Zerocater?
Through our culinary partners, I get a lot of exposure to different restaurants, food trucks, and private chefs. To hear their story, how they got into food service, and how we help them grow and scale their business holds a special place in my heart.
Tell us about your favorite vendor at Zerocater?
This question is like asking me to pick my favorite child. I love all of our vendors for different reasons, but what I love most is getting exposed to vendors in different areas of Northern California that I may never go to or try if it wasn’t for the program and service we offer.
