What did you do prior to joining Zerocater and how did you end up at Zerocater?
Prior to Zerocater, I helped a few startups build and execute their exit strategy. Before that, I was part of the founding team for the Healthcare & Life Sciences division at Salesforce. When the Zerocater opportunity came along it was a perfect blend of my passion for innovative technology and my love of food. Traditionally when I am considering working for a new company I look for a great leadership team, disruptive technology and a culture where success and respect are measured in equal parts. That said, Zerocater stood out in all categories and I have enjoyed my first month tremendously.
What is unique or motivating about your work at Zerocater?
Zerocater is helping organizations build a culture around food and I have the privilege of working with and developing the sales team committed to making that possible. With over a million meals served our teams are constantly growing and I have the unique responsibility of scaling our sales organization to ensure a world-class experience for our customers and partners. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to making Zerocater not only the world’s #1 food provider but also a great place to work – a mission that has me hopping out of bed every morning!
Since you are fairly new to joining Zerocater, what project or initiative are you most excited about?
We are in a very exciting time where growth and scale are headlines for our strategy. As the leader for the largest growth initiative, I could not be more excited to recruit for sales management, account executives, and business development representatives across the country. In tandem, I am working closely with our leadership team to ensure our process and systems scale to support ongoing growth and success.
Which Zerocater value resonates most with your team?
Be Customer Obsessed – Each of our customers has a unique set of needs, dietary restrictions, cultural considerations and preferences required to ensure a great food experience for their company. Each member of our team obsesses over finding the perfect blend of variety and service to ensure every meal is a success. My team helps companies navigate these complexities, uncover the right plan and removes all the burden of food service.
If there was one word or phrase that describes your company culture what would it be and why?
Teamwork – Before I started at Zerocater more than half the company reached out on LinkedIn to express their excitement to have me join the team – needless to say, this has never happened before. Since then I am continually amazed at everyone’s commitment to the team and making life better for one another.
We heard that you used to be a chef. Could you beat Bobby Flay, and if so what would your winning dish be?
Yes – Bobby would go down with my Blackberry Port Wine Crispy Duck served with an herb risotto!
